God. We see Him as a benevolent Being who is satisfied when people manage to fit Him into their lives in some small way. We forget that God never had an identity crisis. He knows that He’s great and deserves to be the center of our lives.

Hey guys! As most of you know, last summer I went through a weight loss process that actually went rather well. God provided me with much self control during that summer and because of it I lost 25 pounds! well during the school year I gained a little bit of that back with being lazy and having a lack of self control. As you see on the paper I am back to 190. My goal is 170 and to begin toning my body. Therefore, I am doing another weight loss challenge. Every week I will be posting a new pic of me and the piece of paper with my weight for that week to keep each of you updated. I will also have a personal trainer meeting with me a few times a week as well as doing my own personal dieting and jogging. Lastly, I will have accountability for my self control and how I eat. I ask each of you to pray that:
- I will continually remember that my body is a temple and that I will seek the Lord
- That I will watch how I eat
- That I don’t get prideful with this(believe me, it happens)
I appreciate each of your prayers and you guys will be updated!
It’s easy to see the obvious error in taking these kinds of verses out of context.
Now consider the widespread tragedy of presenting John 3:16, equally out of context, and calling it sharing the gospel. Consider.
His word does not return void though.
